Congratulations, Class of 2021!

What an incredible year it’s been! The COVID-19 pandemic transformed the college experience in ways none of us expected. But you persevered through the changes—online education, physical distancing, and for many, illness and loss—with patience, creativity and resilience.

Now, it’s time to celebrate you and your accomplishments.

A livestreamed version of the General Commencement will air on on Thursday, May 6, at 7 p.m. In-person, outdoor convocations for each college will be held May 5 - May 8. The schools of Dentistry and Medicine and the colleges of Law and Pharmacy will hold their ceremonies later in the month.

These ceremonies will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium and in the Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre and also will be live-streamed for family and friends to watch. Go here for a full list.

Each graduate will be allowed to invite up to four guests (including members of the Class of 2020, who were not able to have in-person convocations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic). Due to space and public health considerations, attendance will be limited to college faculty, the graduates themselves and a small audience of family and friends.Masks and physical distancing will be required, with seating spaced throughout the venues.
